Throughout his 40-plus years as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Paul Becker has dedicated himself to finding practical solutions to human problems. Working with adults, couples, and families, he utilizes a cognitive-behavioral, solution-oriented approach to help clients identify their values and achieve their goals whether working in his clinical practice or consulting in the community. His clinical practice is focused on helping clients in their resolution of obsessions, phobias, and other anxiety disorders, depression, and relationship issues, as well as helping survivors of trauma and abuse in their recovery.
Dr. Becker is a Life Trustee and Past Board President of Bellflower Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, a past Vice-President of the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center Board of Trustees, and has consulted with community agencies, planned and evaluated community-wide service networks, served as an associate director of an urban mental health center, and evaluated the medical and behavioral health performance of area practitioners as a member of a credentialing committee of a regional health network. He is a member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation, the Ohio Psychological Association, and the Cleveland Psychological Association. He enjoys photography, gardening, traveling, and keeping up with his teen-age grandchildren.
Dr. Becker maintains a private practice in Beachwood (Ohio) at Becker, Udelf and Associates. He also provides outpatient therapy and clinical supervision at Horizons Counseling Services in Parma Hts. (Ohio) and outpatient therapy at Keogh Bendo and Associates at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Health and Wellness Center in Akron (Ohio).
